Weardale Frost/Sun

I was up in the moors today getting a few snaps then i stumbled across this scene. I actually quite liked the contrast between the cold and warm sections of the scene.

The river is actually frozen solid down there.

can't make my mind up about this one
part of me says "shame about the barbed wire"
but then it does lead you into the picture
except it then leads you out again
I wondered about cropping the bottom off so the sky dominates; put the horizon on a 1/3
but then you lose the river

dammit!

mebbe step forward and lose the wire that way
or a lot of PP cloning!

lol, you know i was thinking the same when i was framing it.

I might actually have a shot at cloning the barbed wire out of the shot. Now i wish i had my tripod over the fence.
