On a sunny Sunday morning by the Dee, in Chester.

Hard at work, polishing the pride and joy!

And I couldn't resist these - isn't the pink thermos wonderful?!

I like the third shot. Tip - you can sometimes get great walking gear, Crag Hoppers, SprayWay, Lowe Alpine, Berghaus etc at a third of the price. They also have some good hiking boots! I wonder if he got his flask from there?

Gibbo - thanks. I didn't cope well with the very contrasty light, I'm afraid - lost detail in the white wall behind  and had to do some D&B on their faces to reduce shadow contrast. But it's ok.

hillwalking girl - glad you like the third shot.  about the rest of your post, though ... :)

Hi Cathy, If you look you will see he has a TKMax bag. We always go there to see if they have any good walking gear in, but not only useful for hiking, some great waterproofs, fleeces etc for when you are out taking photos. Sorry it was a bit cryptic.
