2x jessops teleconverter + you guessed it the moon

Hi all as the title says I went out today and bought 2X teleconverter and fired off a couple of quick shots of the moon, on my nikon D40 and 70-300mm lens so here's a full shot' no crop just a quick levels and shadows+highlight adjustment and resize for the forum.

It doesn't seem to be to bad a teleconverter,a fixed length lens is recommended although the auto focus doesn't like the slower lens to much, you need I think it said a F4 or greater apature for that to work correctly,I expect it would be even sharper if there hadn't been a fine layer of cloud

I was looking at the jessop 2x teleconverter the other day so I'll be interested in seeing what else you come up with when you use it in the future.
As for your moon shot. Not bad as you said.

Looks like a reasonable bit of kit, certainly that picture shows a decent result. :thumbs:
