Looking back at the shot again, I thought that I should really put a little more than that.

Most people fall into the trap of trying to balance the exposure on the "woodland light" shots to best show highlight and shadow detail and end up with a compromise that, to my eye, lacks the drama of the scene. I know I've fallen in there more than once myself. What I really like about that shot is the boldness of it. The shadows have been allowed to be strong and dark and they haven't overwhelmed the shot. They've added texture and balance in their own way.

Tis a goodun. :)

It looks like a lovely natural scene, I feel like I could just step into it and feel the warmth of the suns rays, it definately works for me.

I love it! The other work on your site is also very, very good. Wish I could get something even half as good.

Very nice! Almost expecting to see some mythical wood creatures to peek out behind some of the trees...
