Been doing a bit of UE last week and decided to go up to Park Hill, A housing estate which became a symbol of Britains industrial decline and was hated by residents who were moved in street by street. It was built in 1961 and has grade 2 listed building status. what is more, people still actually live here.

Good captures, 2 and 4 for me.
Did you clone out all the hoodies? :D
That's a very powerful set of of images there. It's no.4 that keeps pulling me back a little more than the rest.
This is the kind of top notch work that I think some folks think they're seeing more often than we really do.

Thank you all for the great feedback, I was trying to capture the depressive feel of the place and that at night it is quite scary. The estate is in the middle of re-development, god knows why.

The first two really speak out to me. Very depressing and very good pictures.
Yeah some great spooky shots - the thing I can't get over is that it has listed status!

Great, they just don't work in colour. Looks more depressing in mono which I guessis the point. Think i'll stay here rather than move.

This is something that's been crossing my mind recently being when doing urban shots and not being mugged for your gear.
Going round the estates in Glasgow on your own with lots of camera equipment is a definite no-no if solo.

Does my nut thats it's grade 2 listed and will forever be a hideous blot on the sheffield sky line. It may well be a fatastic example of the architecture of the time it is one of the most hideous buildings in the uk. My Aunt and uncle are working on the re-development and think it's going to become a fantastic living space for future generations they must be barking!
Nice pics by the way and hats off for being beave enough to go near th place with expensive gear! I wouldn't take my mobile out of my pocket round there!
