i like it, kinda portrays a modern version of crown of thorns, or modern protection versus traditional, yes!!!!! it appeals to me alot.
Very deep indeed.

Love the first, the second I find the harsh light of the blown out sky a bit distracting, it might have worked better (in my opinion!) if a more neutral background could have been obtained by a different angle.
