Evening All,

I've tried to low light photography for first time ever :D these are some of my photo's, please give me some pointers and comments :D

Please be critical too, as harsh as you like, i can only get better with time, practice and pointers :D

Would like to see them presented just a little bigger, and with some space between them. Would be easier to view.

But ... that said, I do like them. I think the last one is best, but the third one definitely would be for me, were it not for the half-face behind the flames.

I like the 3rd one too, cracking photo!! You're a weird bunch over the Pennines though, young girls playing with lighter fluid and matches, shocking behaviour!! ;)

:D any idea's what i need to do to get better images in light like that?

Thank you for your comments so far, really are appreciated and very helpful, I've just started at college and want to get better with my exposures, I'm having so much fun learning :D

#1 and #3 for me. Number 3 would be great if it wasn't for the second girl in the background being partly obscured by the whip, and the blue thing behind the head is a bit distracting. On the whole I'd say you've done very well especially for a first attempt, the metering looks pretty damn good. #4 is a bit of a nothing shot for me, though I do like that it looks as though the guy on the right is shooting sparks from his camera :)

I'm liking the movie comment - I thought the same, like something out of a horror film! if only it wasn't for that Mike, i wanted to edit it out, but i don't think it's possible!! :( I'm not really much cop with photoshop, it's taking it's time sinking in on how to use :D

I love the steampunk feel to the first shot. Any comment on the others is lost between Girls! and Fire! :D

All except 4 are absolutely brilliant. I love the colour and the lighting, just superb.
