The background isn't entirely covered (if this was your aim) it is patchy and has made the areas around their heads glow.
Love the idea :)

Thanks for the comments, I think I need to rework it again. Looking at it now there are some blown highlights in the second one. It also may be fun to leave Henry's fingers creeping into the frame rather than cutting them off.

I think that would be really ideal. It is great to see your younger one with a full head of hair too!! Your portraits are always a winner in my eyes.

call me weird,i agree with SW4peter , i would have loved that, if the lad on the left had his fingers coming round the border.
