... a camera that tells you when you've left the bloody ISO set to 800.

I'd been doing some indoor shots and then went out to the middle of nowhere to get some landscape pictures in the fens. They would have been ok - except I forgot to set the ISO back to 100 so I have a set of gritty pooped up images and only just realised when I came to process them now!

The cocktail cabinet beckons!

 Its ok....I did something worse.
Had the ISO wrong, forgot the change the white balance, erm....forgot to change from RAW to JPEG....so it was a good thing I shot in RAW. LOL

Hehe - glad it's not only me then. Although shooting RAW all the time means I wouldn't need to worry about the WB anyway. Why do you shoot JPEG Delli?

I generally shoot raw, unless I'm in the studio then I shoot JPEG, cos everything is "right" and theres generally no need to shoot in RAW, specially when your firing off about 150 shots in the space of half an hour.

Good point. I think I just like the idea of being able to process out of the camera more whatever I'm shooting. Mind you - if I did use JPG I would no doubt forget to change it like you ;-)

Well Its just cos I was shooting snow the other day, and havent used my camera since. Its the only time I use JPEG is in the studio, as its less space, everything is almost "spot on" the exposure is pretty much sorted, you know what the lights are, you know what the Fstop and shutter speeeds are the ISO is at 100.....and....why shoot RAW in those instances?

Because if you shoot JPEG you need to trust the camera to decide the best contrast, sharpening etc. But I would say your pictures look good so you are probably getting a good image from the camera anyway

you are welcome to snow. i dont want it.
i would like some strawberry cheesecake.
i feel a thread hijack coming on.
its a good idea to get into the habit of checking settings everytime you get your camera out.
i some times remember.:|

I nearly always remember. I was distracted this time by someone wanting me to take a portrait before i went out. So it wasn't my fault oh no no no ! :-)

Did the same thing a few weeks ago. Filled a card with grainy Red Arrows. Was a lovely sunny day though and the birds were singing!
Managed to rescue a few. (not birds!)
