Yet more Sunseeker action, but it is the only 'major' rally that seems to come anywhere remotely near the South, so...

Really enjoyed it anyhow, after a season of practicing at a circuit (Castle Combe mainly) it was odd being so close to the cars. My 80-200 was far too long in some situations, but generally was pretty much perfect for the day. Comments more than welcome, I would love to know what I've done well and more importantly what is pretty awful...

(all with Nikon D50, Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 AF-S, Shutter Priority, ISO200, AF-C, Dynamic Area AF, Centerweighted Metering)

nice slow shutter speeds. 3rd one for me is the best of an excellent bunch

I really like 1, despite point of focus being midway. Like 4 too :)

Considering this was your first time doing a rally, I think they are brilliant, mind you, I would still think this had they been from a pro tog, very good use of slow shutter speeds.

I think the pug is my fave... although I am not too keen generally on the partial focus, I think it works on this one, gives it a sense of urgency

I like 3 and 4, i think I would clone out the bloke in the yellow safety jacket in No.4 though as i find him distracting. All good shots though!

Thanks for the comments, the partial focus wasn't intentional as such, just a result of a slower shutter speed and cars moving twards/away from me. I quite like the effect, ually getting the front of the car sharp, but for some reason I had a day of getting the middle of the cars sharp!
