Well, the closest we've got perhaps! Whilst at my Mum's yesterday I decided to continue my macro-themed weekend by photographing some of her jewellery too. Lighting once again was ordinary room lighting and the 550X. Lens was the 100mm macro. Triggered using self-timer as I forgot my remote release! :bonk:

1) Garnet pin brooch

2) Edwardian Circle brooch

3) Victorian star motif necklace

4) Detail of the star from the necklace above

5) Garnet cluster ring

6) Finally - my Mum's wedding ring with the locket she wore on their wedding day.

Lovely shots Witch, well lit with not too much reflection. Nice sentimental shot is #6

Great set, good and sharp. Could be a cliche, but maybe try a mono/sepia of #6?

It's clearly not a cliche then as that one IS a sepia! ;)

Cheers - each time I use that lens properly I'm astounded how sharp it is.
