View Full Version : Extreme Telephoto On A Budget

Been playing around with a 6" f7 750mm achromatic refracting telescope I picked up on E-bay for 130 quid. Currently it's installed in the 'office hide' and today there was enough sunshine to try taking pictures.

Focusing is not easy and the lens suffers a bit from chromatic abberation (can't afford an apochromatic 'scope yet) but it does get you in quite close!

Easy- you need a t-mount adaptor like this:
