Out for a run in the car with the camera as usual and managed a few shots of Curlews in a flooded field.

Canon 30D, Sigma 500mm F4.5 with Sigma x1.4 TC, Manual Focus.

Theres bizzzillions up here in northumberland, never tried to get shot but after seeing these i might give it a go. Great shots !

Hi,

thanks all, just taken from the car window and they seemed not to mind as normally they lift and move further away when they see a car stopping, much the same as geese do as they seem to know the range of a shotgun and always manage to sit about 60-70 yards away, stop and then look back at you mockingly.

Ok the TC helped but even so these are pretty sizeable crops, but without a hide set up I don't think I could get any closer.
