Quick trip to Primrose Hill at sunrise, London...Fifth Try..

This..29th and 30th Sun morn, ...or possibly the one after. :D... depending on the weather....again... please check this thread on Saturday evenings.

(ladylens) Yvonne and I are popping up to Primrose Hill again, this time to hopefully catch a nice sunrise over London.

This is the fourth/fifth try (since opening this thread on the 5th of March) at getting reasonable sunny weather on a Sunday morning...



Yvonne has been good enough to do I reccy of the view at 7.10am it looks like this..

After sunrise.

The actual sunrise will be considerably further east (left) than it is int that shot.

Sunrise is 6.35 this Saturday 6.45 the following weekend.

Yv and I plan to get their an hour before to catch the pre-dawn light too....so thats about 5.30 ish.

We should get long shadows, buildings lit on one side only, that sort of thing.... I'm taking a graduated filter set too.

You can park 'Free' next to the the hill up to 8.30pm, But you must be legal after that.

Any one who can join us would be most welcome. :)

The BBC forcast atm is WET!! and the following weekend maybe a no go for me as the Caravan season starts and we can finaly get to open it back up!! Phew..

But we'll see... maybe i can send the missus down and i stay here for the meet.. lol..

Yep, definately wet atm om the forecasts, BUT, lets check again tomorrow evening as they are changing them so frequently that it may well yet be better. Otherwise, we shall try again for the weekend after!

24hr forecast says cloud for about 6am tomorrow, so will keep an eye on it, see if it changes. :shrug:

I didnt get to bed till 2.30!! my alarm went off at 5am and i had a look at the sky but it looked very cloudy.. so i went back to bed!! lol..

Anyway, i got up again at 7.30 and saw some nice broken clouds and a fair bit od colour.. i wished id got up earlier then!!..

:D Not quite yet Fraggle... I know I said Saturday morning in my first post.... but somehow. its changed to Sunday morning...I think that was me misunderstanding Yv initially...because she seems dead set on Sunday. Lol.

Anyhow... it's not looking good for tomorrow morning, cloudy all night followed by brief spells of sun shine tomorrow, possibly a shower in the afternoon....mainly cloudy 90%.

I bit of clouds nice but without the sun we're stuffed. So its looking like next weekend to me guys.?

I think Sue did loads of searching last year to find a way to get the bridge opened for us, if my memory serves me right (I should look up the thread ;) ) its trickier than we thought.

Possibly contacting the filming authority down in kent would be a good place to start.

Weather still rubbish. Stayed up till gone 4 watching the GP quallies and it was cloudy and horrible. Same predicted for Sunday morning. Still, on the bright side, monday is meant to be sunny :shake:

Just reading this thread with interest. Very early Sunday morning is about the only time I've got free :D , so something like this would be great.

Funny thing, I'm going to be in Saudi, Egypt & Istanbul shortly....I'm picking up my new 5D in Saudi, four days there, then onto Egypt, four days, then Istanbul for three. Never been, so should be a hoot.
