Both nice shots there - think that the 1st would have been improved without the harness imo but you've caught a really nice pose there - very alert.
2nd shot shows great exposure control but the grass looks a tad too blue to my eyes, lowering the blue levels & raising the red slightly may warm & balance the tones a bit.
