Hi Paul & welcome.
I've found Duracell rechargeables by far the best out there - fully recharged in under 1 hour & last me 6 hrs / 600 shots without any problem.
Wouldn't be without them for my SB800s!!

Hi, there was a recent test done on battries and the overall winner was morrissons own brand, they didnt last as long as the top brands but you could get double the amount of battries for the same cost of one set of high quality, ok it means changing battries more often, but overall you get more battries, using two sets the total usage time was longer and it was cheaper..... hope that all makes sence.....

I use Energizer in my SB-25's and SB-26. What I bought is this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Energizer-Hour-Charger-AAA-Batteries/dp/B000BPCW00)and then extra 2500MAH batteries (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Energizer-Reachargable-Advanced-2500MAH-Batteries/dp/B000I2K94M/ref=pd_sbs_ce_img_3). Last for a long time as well.

Try and get some 2700's at least (I think they do 2850's now too) I use uniross and they seem to last a long time. Always have spares though!
