Not my usual series of shots..

I stayed in Trim Castle Hotel for a few nights back last year, was sent by work for training. I found some time to wonder the grounds and take a few snaps..

Maybe more to follow..

See what you think.. (I have been trying to new processing technique a friend showed me....)

How did you do No1? I really like the effect.

A couple of the clouds were burnt, the blacks were brought out, 'recover' and 'fill light' to their max, high clarity and contrat, low saturation, high vibrance. Lightroom / Photoshop Elements.

Thank you :)

Nothing works for me here, the clours are just weird, the photos are too dark and they all look like they have been taken to a very cheap processing lab for 35 mm film. For me they just don't work.

I really don't like the processing one the first, but i'd be interested to know the technique used because I think it's more to do with being the wrong subject for the technique than being a bad technique.

The processing suits the second one better but the composition is slightly off by cutting the top of the arch :)

Thanks for the comments all..

All three of the images look shocking to me right now, I've had to fire up the tower-PC at home, conencted to my 32" Samsung LCD. Being sat behind 32 inches of TP isn't a bad thing, but the quality on images is terrible!!

Anywho..

I realise the bad composition of the arch, it wasn't so much a crop tbh, I had to rotate it slightly.. thus losing a bit off the top. It was a 'bad' photo in the first place.

Could you briefly explain the processing used? Or do you want to keep it secret?:bonk::thumbs:

Good composition, especially the first, but totally ruined (IMO) by the horrendous processing.
