Macro - first attempts

Hi all,

Quite new to this forum and getting back into photography after a long break.

I have not tried shots this close before and would welcome any comments.

I don't know enough about Macro work so I`ll comment on what I see if that's OK :thumbs:
Number 2 would have been brilliant, but it looks a little soft, maybe flat (shallow DOF) perhaps a bit tweaking is required :shrug:
Number 3 would have been real good if you had not cropped the tips of the petals
I will know more about how hard it is to shoot macro when I try it :thumbs:

thanks for the comments. I think I agree number 3 is better slightly wider.
