I have been speaking to a friend of mine, who is also a member on here, about the idea of a portable studio kit.

She thought it was a great idea.

Any idea which one would be suitable for a joint budget of around £300?

There are plenty of good cheap ones, but avoid Portaflash and Interfit at all costs

For £50 extra on your budget you can get the Elinchrom D-Lite 2 Two Head Kit (http://www.warehouseexpress.com/product/default.aspx?sku=1012337) which would be a great bit of kit for starting out with.

I hear the Interfit's aren't that bad - you get what you pay for, but for £200 for the EX150 I think it's fairly hard to beat.
