I've just delved into my lighting bag to find half the foot broken off my sb28. No idea when it happed and the broken bit doesn't appear to be in the bag. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement foot plate from? I'm watching ebay to se if any come up for spares or repair but I'mk not holding my breath.

Do any of you know where I can get either the spare part or a broken SB28 I can salvage?

Or do you know if the foot is the same as any other model of flash? I've checked my SB25 and it's a different shape but I've no idea if it matches the SB26/27.

The flash still works but it's not sitting very securely in it's mount.

Cheers,
Kev

My SB-28 toppled over in high winds on Friday night and the hotshoe broke. I ordered a replacement from here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=170195972969&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT&ih=007

Cost about £12.50 including postage. I've not yet recieved it, but then it's only been 2 days since I ordered it from the US. Not anticipating any problems mind.

They sound like they're relatively straight forward to fix too if you're methodical about it.
