Looking toward the Cuillin (sp?) mountains on the good ole I-o-S!

Been going back through some old stuff today and this was taken in July of last year. I love this place and will be going back in May of this year for more midge related mayhem!

Thoughts?

Version 2

Slightly different shot, less foreground.

I seem to have oversharpened this a touch on reduction as there's a halo appeared on the mountains that isn;t thtere in the full sized version. Hrmph!

Two pleasing shots. Easy on the eye and lots of detail
(dont worry about the halo its not going to an A3 print is it?)

Lovely images, and two nice conversions

I'll be up there in less than 3 weeks and Glen Brittle is on my shortlist :)

Both great shots and good conversions

Prefer the first shot with the abstract foreground and the low threatening clouds engulfing the tips of the mountains

After admiring your work Gandhi, surely you should be known as a Posh Landscape Snapper

Number one for me mate, cracking stuff. Simple yet effective. :)

Like em both, but think I prefer #1 for the moodiness and there's more interest in the foreground. Though saying that, I like the buildings in #2 for a bit of extra interest. Hmm, they're both good, but then you already knew that didn't you ;)

Hmmm, must admit, I was torn between leaving the buldings in the first and cloning them out as I have done.

Maybe leaving them in for a sense of scale would be the better option?

The first one is fantastic, bet the foreground looks great fullsize :clap:

I would love to see it with the houses in, give it a real sense of scale :)

1st one with all that foreground for me - big fan of strong foreground & this one works really well, the lines pull you in too

I don't think the 2nd would work without the buildings, the first does, but maybe would be even better with them back in.. Wouldn't mind seeing it either way.

As above, the foreground is superb in number one. I like both photos.

May is a good time to visit Skye Spencer; only a small amount of the midge population have come out of hibernation.
