Hi

I'm a beginner, and would love some recommendations of books that would be useful and of course interesting in helping me come to grips with all I need to know.

I was given a book called starting photography for Christmas, its like a textbook and sets little challenges at the end of chapters which are great and really help to build up skills and a collection of interesting pictures. I enjoy reading that so thought, I'd see what others recommend.

So what do you think?

MMWhat do I think? I think you should read this other thread called Which photography books for beginners? (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=49937)

Memorymaker head down to your local book shop and leaf through some. There are so many books published most of which are of little value and the only way to be sure is to read a bit of each.
