I'm, not much of a landscape photographer (as you can probably tell!!) but I quite liked these two shots from my recent trip up to the Loch Ness area

1st shot is really moody and atmospheric, but the 2nd one wins it for me - lovely shot! I love the reflection and the shadows, just a really nicely taken shot :)

Very nice Julie.. the first one looks like it should have Nessie sticking its head out in the distance.. a moody, gritty picture..

The second has lovely colours!! As Jimmy said, the Shadows , reflections.. its a well spotted photo.. the only thing is the sky isnt dramatic enough.. but that isnt your fault... lol..

Stop encouraging the hustler guys, "not much of a landscape photographer". Pffft, yeah right. ;)

I'm liking both of those lots. I might have tried to move around a bit to try and get a version of no.2 with both sticks under the skyline. Two great moods there and nicely seen in both cases.

LOL ... I'm serious! I am so much more at home on a sports field. I can see lovely shots when I'm out and about but don't have the experience or the skill to capture them. Occasionally, I shoot something which I really like, like these two.

But I really do appreciate the lovely comments, thank you

Like the 'mood' of the first, with enough light and detail in the Fg to retain interest.

Horizon needs straightening though.

number 2 for me.....it is pretty much perfect, all i could have suggested is a deeper blue sky but not even the pope can do that! :)

Both very beautiful for entirely different reasons, couldn't agree more.

You did well, gorgeous.

I like the first shot, lots of foreground interest and some nice scottish weather to boot!!!

we should all try harder to move more than 20 yards from our cars when taking photos!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for all the positive comments. I'm well chuffed! It's given me lots of encouragement to go and have another crack at some landscapes. Thanks!
