Went over to Lynmouth today to check out some of the Storm Waves, I got some good shot's and this is my favorite.
By the way, the tower on the left is about 30 to 40 foot high, so it gives some scale. C&C welcome

Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaasssssss!! :D

I've been waiting to see someone's shots of the stormy seas. I just love the power of the sea and the sound of the water when it's showing off it's majesty.

Love it.

Excellent, the boat and building are very important, as they give some sense of scale.

I'll blow one or two of you away with some shots from west Cornwall yesterday during the storms we had here, took over 450 photos in total, all over the place, around the coast, wave heights were incredible, the tiddlers were the 30 footers, put it that way!

Many of the images weren't in perfect focus which was nigh on impossible to achieve, what with leaning into the wind on exposed headlands at a 45 degree angle and walking as though one had just downed a bottle of JD, hardly able to breathe whilst the camera was shaking so much I swear it was alive and had a mind of it's own, it's a wonder with all the heavy spray and rain, any shots came out resembling any clarity at all.

As I said on the other thread, I'll post some images up in a bit.

Cheers!

Mark

I was home in Whitehaven at the weekend, and my best mate said there had been some cracking waves on the harbour when he was walking his dog earlier in the day. Brilliant, I thought, get the new nifty, and trusty 18-55mm in me bag and I'll bag some snappy snaps at sundown - I got there......it was low tide!!!??? :(

I still managed bag some decent shots of the rusty lighthouse though!!! :)

Cracking shot BTW newyorkaddict!!
