Not me  This one measured at about 3 foot high
No spectacular waves here on the east coast :shake:
In case your wondering the water is brown due to the muddy banks, not sewage :gag:

1/8 sec, handheld in a force 5 wind, standing on a mud bank so not that sharp!

out of curiosity why 1/8 sec especially for such fast moving water?? What aperture did you use?

Shot manual at 1/8 as I wanted to capture the movement of the wave.

seems so strange to take a picture handheld at 1/8th of a second. I think it would have looked a lot better at a larger aperture and faster shutter speed. Because to me with the blurring of the water and the movement in the clouds and slow shutter speed then in effect nothing is in focus. The result of those three is that there is no focus point in the photo. :)

I'll post some up in a bit from west Cornwall during the storms yesterday, wave heights in some cases well over 100' high.

Got some beauties from Land's End where the cliffs are well over 200' high and one wave comes to mind which reached about half way up. Another shot at Porthleven earlier in the morning shows a wave of similar height.

Took over 450 shots in total, so I'll put up the best ones I can find. I'm telling you, the Long Ships lighthouse - WOW!

Urgh, I'm so jealous right now. Stuck in boring Nottingham a million miles from the sea. God I miss the ocean!

Would you really be saying that if your house was one of those on the coast that was knee deep in sea water yesterday. Sometimes you are better off living away from the coastline I think.

What a ridiculous thing to say. Of course I wouldn't be complaining abut missing the ocean if I was swimming in it in my living room.

However I'm not, and I am missing being in Cornwall, a few minutes drive from the coast but safely distant from any freak weather.
