I'm working on this event again (marathon photos) –I thought I would start this thread for anyone attending or shooting on the event (post the photos here)
I think this is a good event to take photos as the streets and houses make a good backdrop for a major running race.
My three top tips
1) Bring lots of memory /batteries as there are great opportunities for candid / sports /stock photos at this event
2) Visit the registration area (follow the signs) – before the race to get candid and celebrity shots together with atmospheric shots
3) if you can get some shots of the guy that does paintings of the start - then sells them when the runners finish (he is fast) - it could be a really well worth taking photos of what he does, as this is the sort of photo that could sell and sell...
