View Full Version : Panoramic?

Anyone have any suggestions of how i could easily make some panoramic images? The only way i can think of is various images of the scene then stitched up in photoshop. If anyone has any better suggestions please let me know. Dont know if there is a lense or anything for this kind of thing as im a photography noob.. cheers

Taking a row of images and then stitching them together is the best and pretty much the only way in my opinion. There isnt a lens as such, I guess you could use a wide angle lens and then crop the top and bottom off, but it wouldnt really be the same thing :(

I always find it best to use a tripod for panoramas and use the camera on manual so that the exposure doesnt change for each shot, or they wont fit together well.

Tripod definately Jimmy, although http://www.ptgui.com/ is a pretty sexy bit of software.

I use autostitch, which does a fine job of stitching the photos together - plus it's free! :)

another vote for autostitch (http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html) easier to use and better that photoshop IMO

You'll have a copy of photostitch on your Canon cd I think, give that a try.
