View Full Version : Parkour Shoot - 6th April 2008 (Newcastle)
Anyone interested? I've been talking to a few of the parkour guys that we met on the last meet, and I've arranged to meet up with some of them on the above date.
If anyone else wants to come they are more than welcome.
I've offered some of my shots to post on their website @ www.nepk.co.uk in exchange for a credit, and I think it'd only be fair that everyone did the same, as they're offering to let us shoot them for the entire day.
So... Anyone interested?

Matty could you ask any of these guys if they would be willing to sign a model release in exchange for a full size copy of the pictures on CD, would like to use them on the stock agency I submit to.

ooo almost forgot abou this! My release forms are in two parts and I have a stick pre-printed so might aswell just bring them along on the day.
erm...just had a look at the weather forecast for the weekend - HEAVY SNOW for Newcastle :|
^^ Could be an epic non starter then in that case :shrug:

Likely to be an 11am meet at the sage, since it's cheapish to park there (£3 all day)...
Weather's not looking too good though :shrug:

I am still up for this, it would take some serious snow to effect travel up there for me...well once I hit the motorway anyway :|
Can imagine it is hard to do parkour on a slippery surface though, so guess they might cancel if the weather is bad?
I wondered this, will MSN one of them tomorrow, they're all tucked up in bed at the moment ;)

I'll sit tight and wait and see what happens, like you say it may be difficult for them if its snowing. But you know what the weather people are like, last weekend it was supposed to snow on saturday and thunder on sunday in the North East. Both days were sunny and warm, took the kids to south shields to the funfair :).

Any luck contacting any of them Matty? BBC weather now says heavy rain for Sunday, but as you say it could change to 30 degree heat wave by Sunday :p
They say they'll still be out in the rain :)
Bump... Sleet showers for tomorrow, IF anyones going, we going to say 11am @ the sage building, same as before?

I am two minds at the moment :( Really want to come and get some cool shots, but really dont fancy a day out in the cold/rain/wind/sleet :| Got a bit of a cold as it is and dont really wanna make it worse...but REALLY wanna take some photos - GRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Yeah, might be wise. Thinking about it and if it is overcast we are also going to be struggling to get any decent sort of shutter speeds too, I was stuggling last time and that was pretty sunny, so can imagine on a grey day I am going to be 1000+ ISO F4 and still getting motion blur (which I guess will be usefull for some shots, but proabably a right pain in the ass for other stuff).
Cool... As of now, we'll write this day off as a bad job and reschedule for another (sunny) day :thumbs:

Damned, the weather isn't actually bad at all up here today. I've only seen one flutter of snow. :(
When are we thinking about meeting next then?

With you going Matty any sort of weather is not out of question. Its blue sky and sunshine at the moment, but then it snows while the sun is still shining , wierd :suspect:.

How about the 7th of June? Weather should be definately nice by then, and it gives plenty of time to get organised :thumbs:
