Just as well the theme isn't "Flavour" as I'd hate to think which one you'd pick ;)
Makes a change.. me getting in first instead of in the last half hour :)
Edit: set the Tamron to f13 held dof prev button and removed lens.... fitted 30mm of spacer tubes and refitted to camera. Handheld on a table 1/3rd sec at 800 iso. Came out better than I expected :)

I kinda had to wait to do mine so that I could double up valentines day with my choice of subject, finished work at 1.00am and went to tesco's where all the flowers were reduced to £1.99 a bunch or less. Bargain!!!!!

I think you are right there Dave, that's a real shame too as its a nice photo. Although it does surprise me that you couldn't make it fit.

Just the one....the missus reminded me they were expensive & my daughter likes to eat them ;) :D
I've changed mine as the compression lost some of the detail.
I spend a couple of hours last Monday shooting all kinds of fruits, and I think the one posted now suits 'Texture' best.
I felt quite full afterwards, as I didn't want to waste any of the subjects :p
Looking at the number of entires I think we shoudl all take heed that generic themes attract lots more entries than difficult ones :rules: . THen after a few months of us all getting better we can choose some mother of a theme ;)

Finally managed to get an image loaded for the fortnightly assignment, been to busy with work lately :( . Lots of really good pics loaded already, should be an interesting vote.

Just realised I should have shot mine at f5.6 or something, f2.8 makes it look a bit shallow and loses the definition at the back of the leaf :(
Ho hum, live and learn.......at least it was on manual :)

Just changed my entry photo - hope thats Ok with the rules of the assignment:D
Wasn't really happy with my first effort. But the sun came out today :cool: and I got one or two nice photos (well they're ok for me;) ).

What is the rule on image size for this? I've made mine 600px but if I'm allowed bigger I will re-do it.
