How about a section where members of TP could add a link to their own personal image sites? With perhaps a logo of their site. I've been looking for some some ideas for mine and as is normal when I get a photography-related query, I come here. But there is no quick way of finding such links...
click a users name and it comes up with "visit bulb763's website" if they have specified one in their options. Could also use a sig.
I know that (and I've used the links in the past), and perhaps It's just me, but It'd get a bit tedious doing that for every member. And you dont know if there will be a link to their home page until you have clicked the user name. And you'd have to search for a member first (assuming you wanted to find a specific members site). Or you'd have to find a thread with the member in whose site you wanted to view. IYSWIM...
I'm just thinking of a "one-stop-shop" where you could go if ever you wanted a list of members sites.
Sounds a good idea to me - links in with this thread (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=54278&highlight=websites)too. Admin staff - I can probably have a stab at putting a thread together, unless someone else has already started it?

That's excellent. It would be good though if the admin could somehow give it it's own page, and allow members so submit a link and logo (as you have done), along with a short description of what is on the site. Perhaps even a way of categorizing the sites so they're searchable (I'm just thinking out loud ;))
If done well it could even appear at the top of google searches for terms such as personal photo gallery, etc, which I imagine would drive a lot more clicks to not only TP, but the individual sites themselves :shrug:

Those I've put up thus far have front page banners or logos, and so lend themselves to being catalogued in this way. I could add Flickr sites too, perhaps choosing a choice image from the photostream on offer?

Thats not as straight forward as it seems, and very difficult to get to #1 on google for any search term...
