I know about Onestop Digital being very good, but has anyone used Digital Rev? Any opinions?

D-Rev don't offer tax free import but what's the usual case with lenses?

I bought my 40D from DigitalRev, they are great.

They will refund duty on some items, check their eBay listings.

Ship just as fast as One Stop, my 40D arrived within 3 days.

Another Hong Kong based outfit I would heartily recommend is Kea Photo (look them up on ebay). Is run by 2 very nice Canadian blokes. I bought my D3 from them last month and it came in 2 days, I was well impressed! They also have an import tax refund system on most stuff far as I know and were very good at quickly replying to emails etc. Just bought a 77mm filter from them too last week, again with no probs.

another nod. used them a few times now. received over xmas too quicker from them than suppliers in the Uk. 3 days to receive from ordering. £38 import tax, paid it, scanned it, sent it via email, and back in the account within 2 days.

big thumbs up from me. and what a saving!!

Yep, me too. Ordered Friday night, arrived Mon 9am :D

VAT refunded within 24 hours when the bill from DHL turned up about 6 weeks later.

Prompt response to emails and excellent prices. They tend to do different bundles - some are tax free, some offer a worldwide warranty, others are simply the item with "no frills". Check their shop listing as not everything is listed on ebay.

Digital Rev get a big thumbs up from me - used them several times, and always VERY prompt and professional. If you look at their Ebay auctions they frequently do auctions where they guarantee to pay the tax, so you can sometimes get those.

I bought my Nikon D200 from them in December 2006. After some initial confusion regarding the tracking number, and slow replies to emails, the camera came quite quickly.

Part of the offer on Ebay was to refund any import taxes, and I thought I had got away with it, ;) but a week or two later I got a bill from the courier for the import duty, I think it was about £36 which I paid. I scanned the receipt and sent it too Digital Rev, and it was sorted within in a couple of days. :)

PS I'd be wary of buying new cameras on Ebay now, and not just from Digital Rev, because I know Nikon at least will not touch an imported camera. Something I didn't realise when I bought mine. I don't know about other manufacturers, but something to keep in mind. ;)

Luckily mine has been fine. :D

Another approval for DigitalRev...had a fault on a lens which they repaired (actually offered a complete refund if I wanted it)...they paid the postage (over £150!!)...then refunded the duty etc when it came back.
Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
Also heartily recommend Kea-Photo!

I've just bought a lens and a filter from Kea Photo. They've been great so far but I have to wait ten days for my PayPal eCheque to clear because I used an eBay PayPal coupon.

Good to hear some very good stuff about Digital Rev. :)
