I'm not sure if its just me or does there need to be some kind of uniform way in which we all vote in the monthly competition.

Last month I went through all the images and selected those that I thought were composed well and appealed to me. I got a list of about 20 pictures which I voted for. I noticed there were some comments in the discussion page where some people only voted for 3 images etc.

The competition rules says "This will be a multiple choice poll, where you may vote for as many or as little shots as you like".

Why not just say "vote for 5 entries which you feel are worthy of a point". That way we're all singing from the same song sheet.

Some people find it difficult to choose a set number of photos, be they too many or too little.

Besides, the forum software either allows us one vote.....or multiple votes...we can't restrict it any other way :)

I like it the way that it is...by being able to vote for as many as you like gives at least the opportunity to vote for those images which you wouldn't have if you were limited to, say, just 5 votes - this in turn gives a bit of a buzz for people like me getting just 3 or 4 votes rather than none at all, at least I know that some people are liking what I'm doing!

I kind of agree with madferret - I've tried to stick to 10 votes per comp - (although I stretched to 15 this month) - I noted someone voted for 50+ in the first one - which seems a little ott to me!

But I guess its tricky and is based on a free vote and nothing else is possible!

I never vote for myself though, although this is not prevented.
