If I were to be really picky, I don't like the darkness of the right side of the face. I would like to see some reflections in the eye.

But!
Thats a minor issue. Its sharp, its well composed, and its got brilliant character. congratulations!

lovely, I'v taken lots of pics of otters at Chester Zoo, never really consider them very photogenic, but this shot proves that some are. Lovely shot, perhaps proof I need to try harder??

thanks for all your comments :) The nature of their enclosure meant you could get very close, and they seemed more than happy to pose. I got plenty of shots but none of the others are really quite as good as this one. I'm just glad I got it in focus as the lens I was using is fully manual!!

Yep, like this a lot, crisp and clear with loads of interest.

The only thing I would consider is cloning the light patch of BG-top left
