Anyone with experience in this?

CF or SD? Any one of the two safer or less safe than the other?

Thanx:thumbs:

You mean for long term storage or in general use? I'd say 6 and half a dozen for the latter.

I guess the most replies to this thread will come from 1D Mk III owners..

I've used CF cards in the 400D then my current 40D DSLRS and have had no reliability problems with any of my cards (3 of them).

I've accidentally snapped 2 sd cards - my phone used to take them and I stored music & satnav maps on them.

For me, CF cards are more robust.

Never had a problem with any of my CF cards and some I've had for quite a while:thumbs:

Thanks for all the responses folks:thumbs:

I must be honest and admit that I have a bias towards CF's but was a bit upset when I "lost" a CF recently.

Had an el cheapo card reader and one of the pins broke off inside the card:bang:, thereby rendering both useless.

This cannot happen with an SD but they feel so brittle...

Have not had one issue with my CF's so I reckon I will stick with them and use SD's as stop-gaps

Cheers
