Hiya

I had my first try at taking some portraits the other day. Didn't go very well, but I was happy to try it out. I had my reflector with me, no lighting at all, other than the natural light coming in the window & the camera flash. But I didn't use my reflector. I know I should have, but I was a bit nervous being my first time and there wasn't a lot of space in the living room.
The shots were just taken in my friends front room.
Any hints or tips would be really appreciated.
I've arranged to go back to take some more pics because I was disappointed with my first effort. The baby is only 6 weeks old, so she's still really young.
I've burnt out the background in photoshop as there was edges of sofa, door frames etc.

I know I should have lighting etc, but money's tight and photography's a hobby.
