View Full Version : Golden Eagle Portrait
One of a few shots I took of this lady whilst my better half and I enjoyed our silver wedding anniversary break in Craigellachie. This one was taken in the North East Falconry Centre near Huntly. (Thankfully I left the camera under-exposing by 2 stops which helped a great deal with the backlighting).

really nice shot pretty much pefect only it would be nice if it was a bit lighter ? ...
Cheers DB, comments much appreciated.. I did lighten it a bit but didn't want to push it too far. Might give it a further process over the weekend and re-post. Alternatively it may be my monitor as it looks ok on my screen.

Stunning.
Thanks Hammerhead. I read your post and by way of assistance, I'll offer the following advice, persevere, it will come together for you.
DB, checked the picture on the office monitor and it is a bit dark. I'll need to invest in monitor calibration.
Like this , a very nice portrait shot. Agree about the lightening remark.

That is a lovely image Ken ... ... and as far as lightening it although I do agree I think it only needs it on the shaded side so do be careful ... ... maybe a touch of lightening shadows and darkening highlights is all that's needed ...
