Hi,

My serious 1st picture and i really want to start as i mean to go on. I am looking for nice in-depth constructive comments, something i can use for my future pics, and hopefully my future. Thanks

First comment has to be that it is oversize for display on the forums - 800 pixels max as per the rules. You can change it back to show a correct size version but for now I've edited it to a link.

A polarising filter might help with the water glare. The subject (person) is too central and facing right would be better on a third over on the left of frame. Have a read here (http://www.talkphotography.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=24859).

Don't think there is much to be gained from editing this shot as it needed a different composition when it was taken. There is a tick box in your profile settings to allow editing that you don't have ticked should anyone feel like having a go.

Good attempt but as Robert said, the glare is a little too much.
