Hi,
I'm wanting some advice on good wildlife photography locations in the north-east, other than my local areas:

St. Mary's lighthouse; Druridge; Chevington; Cresswell; Linton; Big waters; Kielder; Derwent; Upper teasdale;

I'm primarily a wildlife photographer who is developing a increasing interest in bird photography.
I know my list above are all excellent locations I was just wondering if someone can recommend any additional sites, within about an hours drive of Newcastle, that I can visit so that I don't get too bored.
Any advice would be very welcome and thanks in advance,
Mark.

As a patch birder i can recommend St Marys Island for many wildlife opportunities. All of your mentioned sites are good, this time of year Kielder can be good for raptors, as can be the Harthope valley which also can be great for Ring Ouzel, Green woodpecker, and Redstart.
