Hey All!
Im new here but already found a number of decent peeps!
I have a suggestion - how about adding a photo manip section to the photo critique section? I know they could just be put into their relevant subject fields, but how about one for heavy manips rather than just a little enhancing?
Just an idea!
:D
we had a photo manipulation section once, and a little competition running but it didnt generate a great deal of interest at the time, maybe something to look at again sometime>

"IF YOU DONT LIKE A POST, USE THE NOTIFY BUTTON!" says Matty
I was out shooting a landscape recently, and I couldn't avoid this damn post being in the way - and try as I might I couldn't find it's 'notify' button ???
OT then - I quite fancy this idea too - put up an unprocessed shot that has potential, and see what it comes back like - could teach all a few things, though access to something a bit bigger than the screen copy may be needed

Thats a great idea! Then you could get some artist collaboration going! Although we wouldnt want it to turn into stock photo archive. Maybe photographers could post in this new section with hyperlinked pic to download then others could PS or other it?
anyone else like the idea?
I think it is a great idea. why don't you start a POLL and sticky
Yeh, pretty good idea - although I know a lot of people will already have a go if users have ticked the box to say editing is permitted.

Yes I do.
I like the idea, I like a chalenge :)
I think it's an awsome idea.
If people have access to file hosting, maybe via a personal web site or even a 3rd party site, you could upload the origional and then share any .psd files etc for education??

 gets my vote, it would be nice to see a before & after shot with a overview of the process used.

Awesome!
Any news on progress?
Thanks to everyone for their support for the idea!
Have to admit I always like seeing the before and after shots, along with the way different people process and image.
A few challenges have been set in the past to process and image so a section could be good.
did I kill this thread or is it being considered :D
If you set a challenge.........
then post it here..........

We already have a section for this type of thing.
As the Mods will tell you, we can't have a listing for everything to do with togging so somethings get squashed together.

Cheers tiler,
But we were looking for a section to post the completed photomanips into for critique/suggestions, just like the other genre settings.
Thanks for the info on where to post for challenges!

I think they would go in the relative sections, or you can put them in General Photo Sharing :)
The idea of the specific sharing forums is that when something gets too popular for General...its *then* that the subject gets its own subforum :)
