Also this is a first attempt at a high key portrait using natural light from the window. CnC's welcome..:)

These days with the forum so busy it can take a couple of days for people to see threads ;)

I'd say the shallow depth of field is just a bit too shallow here or not quite at its sharpest on the eye. Still a nice image though.

It's a lovely shot. I might be tempted to look for a crop that doesn't take away the feel of light and space but removes some of the empty space on the left.

Also, I suspect the shot is sharp but the conversion to a small jpeg has left it a touch soft.

Yep - with such a shallow depth of field that eye needs to be sharp.

Thanks for the input, i swear the eye looks sharper in the original, i will have another go at the crop :)
