Wow, amazing set of pictures. Did you get any of number 72 in the 125s? I have asked that question so many times and it isnt even race day yet! :D

Not bad mate, those lenses look very nice indeed seen some very good shots with them.

I take it that 1/6400 shot on the approach to druids was just for testing purposes? I tried to stay away from druids as much as possible, i think the first one would have been better at 1/200 as the wheels look at tad froozen.

Yeah, I was just testing the sharpness with the 1.4x fitted wide open and forgot to lower the ISO. Even at ISO 100 though it would have been too quick.

Great stuff here. Credit to you for trying 1/15 on a pan! It doesn't really work for me, whereas the 1/40 definitely does. That new lens is serving you well :-)

edit... thinking about it, the 1/15 would work well as a close-in crop of the rider - it looks well focussed, so if you have the resolution I would give that a try.

Wow, they are a corking set mate. And that lens seems to be a real stunner. I take it you were using a monopod?

Nope - Handheld all day !!! :)

I take it your arms are aching ?

Im pretty sure this is the lens im going to replace my 100-400 with, along with 1.4x and 2x convertors.

Do you have a 2x convertor and if so do you have any sample shots?

Cheers

My arms are fine - even this morning when I went out again.
My legs are aching though - too much walking :/

I only have a 1.4x convertor.
