#1 looks under-exposed to me, Slvrbck. The sky is great, but some selective lightening of the trees and the water would make it a much better photo.

#2 I like. It's beautifully simple, and the composition is great. Especially the taller tree o the left, which sort of frames the picture.

Both of them look a bit soft to me though. Have you tried sharpening them a bit more?
