Hi Les. You really captured the action well - especially in the second batch. But I don't know if the monochrome works for me? Sorry.

Know what you mean about monochrome-was in two minds about it, started converting one image because someone in a bright yellow jacket in the BG seemed to distract, and the only way to get round it (I thought) was to do a B&W conversion.
Particularly like the second batch, as has already been said not sure about the mono. would like to see the colour versions though
different for you but good  I like the mono treatment

Les, you've an eye for sport too eh? I'm not a union fan, but I'd like to see the second one in colour as I think that's by far the strongest.

I think they're all pretty good - they've caught the action well, and as people say, the second batch are marginally better

Nice shots 1,2,4,5 I feel work very well in monochrome as they emphasize a more sculptural feel to the shot, makes you concentrate on the image more and the way the action is frozen.
there all great. the colour ones is my fav

Great stuff. I like #2 especially. Now whether to choose colour or mono
I like the 2nd batch there awesome
Great work.
Lovely photos ... gives me something to aim for the next time I'm out trying to do rugby photos (this weekend as it happens!)
I prefer the mono shots Les but to me they look as if they have a slight blue cast to them.
Great set nonetheless, I particularly like the last one.

Yes, the slight blue cast was an attempt give them a 'newspaperly' feel -not very successfully obviously :) ;)

Brill pix
Second batch is the biz !
The mono with blue cast certainly works a treat for me.
V good you really caught the determination in the players faces and give the feeling of true action. Mono works best for me.
