No. 1 for me too, because:
- I like clouds
- the composition of the first one is more appealing (to me)

#1, clouds add interest to the image and fill the otherwise dead space.

Personally i prefer the first shot also - i like the way the clouds are slightly OFF, they breakup the sky and the angle the shot was taken gives the shot a better composition.

#1 as well. The lighter sky + clouds looks more natural for daffs somehow.

#1 has a background therefore it has an advantage over #2 however these images lack any other special "thang" other than they are bright coloured and the have a bright coloured background. Take that away and they both lack any real oomph. Not that either are bad, they just ain't greeeeaat!

fair point but that can be said about most photos :)
No.1 by a country mile for me, reason being the sky adds a depth to the shot.

Yeah, but I said it about yours. :p
No. 1 for me too. Seeing the clouds gives a sense of a big open space to me.
The daffs seem to be falling out of the picture in no.2.

#1 - better positioning of the flowers, and the clouds frame them.
There's a strange white blob in the sky though, just to the right of the tops of the flowers.
Yeah, but I said it about yours. :p
 wow
