I took a trip out this afternnon to find a place I'd seen som epictures of, but wanted to see for myself. These are the results.

By the way, I'm kicking myself 'cos I went out and filled a couple of 1GB memory cards with shots taken at ISO1600. Berk.

By the way, any HDR-type effect is all done by hand, just to prove a point to a friend of mine. :)

Not bad. No 3 is the best for me. I like the way the track leads you into the image and the sky is more interesting :)

I like #2. Very poignant and much better than #3. I think the fact that the colours are not highly saturated adds to the atmosphere too, which is why I think the colour versions are superior to the B&W ones.
