Which Tripod?

Hello all, this is my first post on this forum. I am new to the wonderful world of DSLR's. I have had my 400D for nearly a month now and I really enjoy taking night shots, landscapes and buildings. Birthday is coming up and I am going to ask my Girlfriend to get me a Tripod (was going to get a flashgun but I think a tripod would be more use at the moment). I am thinking anything up to about £80 should be fine. Any help on what to look for or good brands, places to shop online or in the Greater Manchester area would be much appreciated.

Hi mate and welcome to the forums. My first tripod (and still is) A Velbon 250R I think its called. Would come in at a little under your budget too. If funds would allow though, it try and stretch for a manfrotto one, the ones around the £100 are brilliant :)
