I'm currently going through some older photos in the vain hope of cataloguing everything. Some of them are better than I remembered (especially as I took them on a Canon Ixus, this was in my pre dSLR days), so I thought they deserved a little outing.

These are from a visit to the British Museum, London in Oct 2006.

Love the first one with those lines and colours and the last one too - the way the light's falling on it! Must make a trip there myself :)

Thanks for the nice comments.

It really is a great museum, my favourite in fact, and that ceiling in the Courtyard is just stunning when you first see it...as is the reading room itself (and all of that is before you even start looking at the exhibits)

I really like no.1 and the processing on no.4.

People seem to be posting lots of shots based on symmetry at the mo and it's still something that stands out a mile to me if it's not 100% bang on.

You've done some good work to get a crop/frame that's as close as I think it's ever going to get but it was shot a teeny bit too far to the right. ;)

Stunning set of shots

I’m surprised that there are no restriction on taking photo’s there, seem to be the case most places these days

LOL, I know exactly what you mean. When I was cropping the shot I was thinking "I wish I had been standing slightly more to the left".

Thanks again for the nice comments from everyone :)

These are all great, thanks for sharing. I go to the museum fairly regularly, so really must take the camera next time and hope it's a quiet day.
