Hi - Odds and Sods

Hi,

Firstly hello to everyone, I'm new round here. :)

I've been lurking around for a few weeks now, those few weeks have also fell inline with the ownership of my first camera. I have pretty much never had a camera before but seem to have been bitten by a venomous photography monster!

Anyway, I thought I would put a few odd pictures on here just to try and get some initital feedback. I dont know what I am doing at all yet so some comments and critique would really help.

The biro one is a lovely use of depth of field. Looks a little dark on my monitor though? No 1's nice too - cute cat!

Well, the 2 cats are mine and the dogs even though they are ours still leave with my girlfriends mom. Not sure we could cope with 3 dogs and 2 cats! :shake:

The biro one doesnt seem to look to dark on my screen, could that be because of how my screen is configured?
