I like this shot, although the pole on the left not adding a whole lot for me!! Can you post what you would consider a VERY BRIGHT version of this shot? Just curious!!

Like the idea of the shot but not keen on the foreground clutter....detracts from what is the subject of the picture.

On the topic of wind turbines I cannot see why people are against the things...Located correctly I think they are hard to beat..

Ahh i like the foreground clutter as its equal to the middle and horizon , taking that away and it wouldn't feel the same. I'll do a brighter shot for you EdinburghGary

Agree with the foreground 'clutter'.
Loads of people dislike wind turbines. I like them very much.
It's a nice shot but at a minimum, the pole has to go. ;)

Well you could argue another shot should be taken without the pole, I sometimes hate deleting things from a photo, feels like a cheat at times.

Sorted the image and made it brighter and sharper!

Removed some foreground but i feel it adds to the image , i did try without and its just not the same

Hi Neil - I think I agree here, you could have a great composition here for me without the foreground.
I rememeber seeing a winning shot in a comp a few months back with a scene similar to this, although the foreground was clear ble water and a lightning bolt hitting the turbine.... It may be worth a go?

I like the crop that you posted, but I'd be tempted to crop out the cut off turbine.

It's not actually cut off in the second pic ... ... and clearly it was only the frame doing that in the first ... :suspect:

However, I do disagree and think, if anything, the right side clear blue should be trimmed to balance the image a little better ...

Any less turbines and it will not be a balanced pic imhgo ... ;)

Much prefer the second image although I don't dislike the first at all ...

:p

Anyway Pirate, I like your picture of wind turbines and I like wind turbines, much better than smelly old power stations.

I like the last modified shot with the foreground removed.

Nice picture, I'm not a fan of wind turbines but they do make good photo subjects.

<Off Topic> The reason I don't like wind turbines is that they are an economically unviable blot on the landscape, the efficency levels are terrible and there actual contribution to power in the UK will always be negligeable </Off Topic>
