This has got to be one of my favourite views, Tenby in Pembrokeshire, Wales.

I took the photo today when I went in there to get some shopping, just before the hailstones came down.

Was that really taken today? You must have been shopping early in the day. We are going back there in May for our annual visit. Great place and if I ever win the lottery then it's the place me and the missus intend to move to.

I keep looking on the webcam for Tenby harbour to see what's going on. This is a realtime web cam and in daylight is very interesting to watch

Sadly there was a bad fire a couple of weeks ago and the Royal Gatehouse Hotel and the Playhouse Cinema burnt down. There was a lot of damage to the underlying road, and now no cars or pedestrians can go along the seafront road from North Beach Side.

These pictures are just to show you some of the damage and are not meant as examples of my bet shots.

I was shopping about 10.30 this morning, it was quiet hot in Tenby then, but we had a storm a little later.

Lovely view Barbara, almost looks like a model as it's so calm there on that day.

I was wondering why no-one seemed to walk in front of the web cam I was talking about in my last post if the road is closed off.

I've just read that there were 14 fire engines there!!!!! there's hardly room to get a car down that road let alone park 14 fire engines. We are hopefully going to get to Caldey Island this time too.

I like that first photo hillwalkinggirl , any chance of the bottom right hand corner being a little brighter... might just be my monitor lol

Still really like it though :D

Yes the road is closed from the bike shop all the way down to Smiths. Coming from the North Beach side you have to turn down the lane just past the bike shop, then go up the steps past St Teilos School, along the lane to the road the library is on, then left up the hill towards Five Arches. It's quite a long detour to get in there, and even more difficult by car. You could however stand on the corner of the Norton to get these shots I got this morning.

Yes I did think of doing that but in the end I burned it in, so that I could put the centre of attention into the life boat station and the harbour.

That's a lovely photo and it does make you want to go and visit. I'm not normally a fan of brightly coloured houses but these just seem to work with each other. It looks a beautiful place.

I love Tenby although the folks are now round the corner, closer to Cardigan. This is a great shot, of a cracking place. Has a Spanish feel to it !

It looks like I'm doing my bit for the Tenby tourist board, but don't forget the whole of Pembrokeshire. It's a wonderful place to come to. Glad you like my photo, thanks for your comments. Barbara:thumbs:
